Showing them the town
Having grown up in a small town 
but now living in the city, I’ve always felt there were things my kids 
were missing out on. One day, I decided to do something about it. 
.
So, I packed them into the car, and we headed to the farmlands of Alboraya for the day.
There, we learned (myself included!) everything we could in a single day about growing fruits and vegetables. When we got home, we jotted it all down—notes and doodles—in a little notebook, which we then used to start our own mini garden on our downtown apartment terrace. Safe to say, it became the envy of all my kids’ friends.
Since that day, grocery shopping has never been the same.
