The Santa Cecilia festivities, organized by the Alboraya Musical Society, consist of a series of events dedicated to the patron saint of music. These celebrations take place between November and December, usually focusing on the days surrounding November 22. In recent years, especially following the centennial celebration of the Musical Society on February 28, 2006, the festivities have grown in scope, featuring more events and greater participation. The activities are held at various locations, including the Musical Society’s headquarters, the Municipal Auditorium, the church, or the Sports Complex.

All the groups that make up the Musical Society take part in the festivities: the Concert Band, the Chamber Orchestra, the Plectrum Orchestra, the Polyphonic Choir, the Dance Group and “la Colla de tabal i dolçaina” (traditional drum and fife ensemble)

These six groups are constantly enriched by musicians from the local Music School, as well as individuals from other municipalities who have chosen Alboraya as their home.
