Festivities of Carrer Cabanyal

After Alboraya’s main local celebrations, the Carrer Cabanyal neighborhood hosts its own festivities in honor of San Cristóbal, also known as Sant Cristòfol de la Barqueta. This celebration always coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and spans an entire weekend, bringing together neighbors of all ages for a series of lively events.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the streets come alive with games and afternoon snacks for the children of the neighborhood. These early evening activities set the stage for one of the most cherished moments of the weekend: the "Cena a la Luna de Valencia" (Dinner Under the Moonlight of Valencia) on Saturday night.

During this event, the community gathers outdoors to share a meal, fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with laughter and good company. The night typically ends with a verbena, a traditional open-air dance, where locals celebrate into the early hours of the morning.
